Chapel Discussion Questions - 11/4/15

Pastor Tony Canady asked us if anyone has ever said, "You look just like your mother," or "You act just like your father?"  He went on to talk about three characteristics of God:  love, faithfulness, and grace, that we need to have in our own lives in order to look like God.

We can't be full of love, faithfulnes, or grace on our own, so God even helps us by giving us the Holy Spirit to help us be more like Him!

God Created us to Be Like Him:  Genesis 1:26-28 NIV
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Discussion Questions:
1.       When God looks at us, are we good representatives of His likeness?
2.       What can we do on a daily basis to be more like God?
3.       Name some areas of our lives where we can do a better job representing God.
